Our Learning:

Our focus text this term is ‘Rosie’s Walk’. We will be learning to retell the story using a story map and simple actions. We will begin to start phonics sessions, practicing listening and communication skills, as well as being able to hold a pencil correctly to make marks. In Maths, our focus is joining in with number rhymes, representing numbers on fingers, counting with a 1:1 correspondence up to 5 and recognising basic 2D shapes. The children will be exploring the Forest School area discussing what they find, their senses and changes during the different seasons. During creative activities we will be drawing self portraits thinking about the features needed as well as creating simple representations. In PE we will be learning to independently take our shoes and socks off, finding/ negotiating a space and taking part in group games.
