School Update
We are pleased to welcome back some of our year 6 children into school this morning. We are at a point that we are now full in our classrooms for year 6. We can only manage 10 children as a maximum in our classrooms currently, due to social distancing. We will be reviewing this over the coming weeks as the advice changes and hope to be able to offer some opportunities for other children to be in school before the end of the Summer term.
We are now in the position that every teacher in school is teaching a group of children in the day time. This means that they will not have as much time to be able to put work up on to Seesaw or to respond to work posted by the children, in the same way as they have been doing up to now. I am sure you will appreciate that we are now trying to provide an education for children both in school and at home and this is very difficult to manage. Staff will do their best to respond and to continue to post activities for your child, but please recognise that they are very busy at the moment and may not be able to respond.
I would also ask parents not to contact staff with requests for additional work at this time. They do not have the capacity to be able to do this and do not want to cause upset by saying no. Each class has a webpage on our school website, which has links and information about activities you can use to support the learning at home.
If there are any questions about Seesaw, please direct these to the admin@wilfredowen.shropshire.sch.uk email account and someone will come back to you with an answer.
Once again, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust to new systems across the school and find our way in another new way of working.
Stay safe and take care.
