I am delighted to be able to serve as Chair of Governors for Wilfred Owen Primary School and to working with all the hard working and committed staff at the school. I have had a long career in education starting off as a secondary school teacher and then holding a number of senior management posts in education in Local Authorities. I have recently retired from full time employment but remain passionate about education and in providing all children and young people with the very best start in life

Mrs Vicki BoyParent GovernorI have taught in Secondary schools and FE Colleges for the past 13 years and I am passionate about education has and how the right support network can enrich and nurture a child’s life. I have two boys, one of whom attends Wilfred Owen. Through the role of Parent Governor and link role in Safeguarding, I hope to support the school to continue to provide excellence in Education and help to build relationships between the parents and the School. | Miss Hannah FoxCo-Opted GovernorI am delighted to take up my first co-opted Governors role at The Wilfred Owen School. I have been a teacher here since 2017, after completing training based at the school through Schools Direct with Chester University. I am extremely passionate about providing our children with the best education. Supporting our children to love learning, in a safe and stimulating environment, will enable them to reach their true potential. I am excited about my role as a co-opted Governor as it will allow me to work alongside staff, families and our community to ensure our pupils receive an enriching and inspiring curriculum.

I am extremely passionate about the future of children's education (I have two children who attend Wilfred Owen School) and believe that all children have the right to the best education, support and school experience possible to give them the best start in life. As Special Education Needs Co-ordinator my passion lies in creating an inclusive education where all children can succeed. I am privileged to hold the role of Deputy Head teacher in a school that shares my beliefs. I am an advocate for mental health and wellbeing, not only for the children but also for the staff and the wider community. |
