If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
We are always happy to talk to parents about a place at The Wilfred Owen School.
Our admissions policy is currently being updated due to the conversion to Academy status and therefore the changes to admissions authority.
To read our admissions policy, including the criteria used to allocate places at the start of the year or through mid-term transfers, please click below.
If you are considering moving your child to our school part way through the year you will need to complete a Mid-Term Transfer Application.
We insist on the form including the signature of the head teacher of the school your child is currently registered at to show they are aware of your intended move. We will work closely with the current school to exchange files and information so that we can ensure the best opportunities for you and your family as you settle into our school.
If your child has an EHCP or statement of need you will need to contact the Local Authority SEN team to inform them of your wish to move your child from one school to another.
The Local Authority handbook and guidance on admissions for 2019-20 is available on the Shropshire web site along with additional information relating to school admissions.
If you have any further questions or require help completing the forms, please contact the school office on 01743282360 and we will do our very best to assist you.
Nursery has a termly intake. Admissions to The Wilfred Owen School Nursery follow the guidelines and policy as per the rest of the school.
If you have any questions about the school’s catchment area you can contact The Wilfred Owen School.
